Pooja Interior
Traditional wooden mandir units with carved details and storage for daily rituals.
A wooden pooja unit is built in solid teak or sheesham, or on a plywood core finished in matching veneer, with carved or turned detailing on the pillars, arch and cornice. We size the unit around the idols you already have plus room for future additions, and set the main platform at a height that suits how your family worships, standing or seated. Storage is planned properly rather than left as one cupboard: a drawer for lamps, wicks and matchboxes, a shallow tray for kumkum and haldi, a section for books, and a lower cabinet for festival brass and bulk items. Wood near an oil lamp needs care, so we specify a heat-resistant surface at the lamp position, a metal or stone inlay under the diya area, and a finish that can be wiped clean of oil and camphor residue. The front can be shuttered, jaali-fronted or fully open depending on whether the unit sits in a niche, a corner or a dedicated room.
