About This Option

A high gloss kitchen uses mirror-finish shutters in acrylic, glossy laminate, PET or lacquered glass to reflect light back into the room, which makes compact and low-light kitchens feel noticeably larger. Colour depth is stronger in gloss, so bold shades read rich rather than flat. The trade-off is visible fingerprints and dust, so we often keep gloss on wall and tall units, pair it with a matte or woodgrain base, and recommend anti-scratch grade sheets for shutters used daily. Panel flatness matters more in gloss because any waviness shows up in the reflection, so we specify a stable core and controlled shutter sizes. It suits modern flats, open-plan kitchens and homeowners who want a bright, showroom-style finish.
