A study corner fits a working setup into a bedroom, living room or balcony edge without needing a separate room. We size the desk to the actual task - a laptop-only corner works at 450mm depth, while dual monitors and paperwork need 600mm - and set the height at 720mm with legroom kept clear of any drawer unit. Power is the detail most setups miss: we plan a socket bank at desk level with provision for laptop, monitor, charger and router, plus grommets and an under-desk cable tray so wires never hang. Task lighting sits on the side opposite your writing hand at a neutral colour temperature to reduce eye strain in long sessions. Overhead or side storage carries files, stationery and books, and a pinboard or magnetic panel keeps the desk surface clear. It suits work-from-home routines, student study needs and homes where a dedicated study room is not available.
